The 25 Things...

It’s that time of year; birthday post time! As much as I deeply love writing story posts, it is always fun to switch up the rhythm. Every year for my birthday, I write a post of random things. There is something so oddly interesting about opening a door into others' lives. If it weren’t so fascinating, there wouldn’t be so many podcasts or vlogs. I don’t know why, but some of my favorite videos people make are their grocery hauls. It is fun stepping into their story and seeing a behind-the-scenes look. And that is what this post is: a scattered collage of thoughts, experiences, suggestions, and interpretations that I think you would have fun reading. So buckle up and enjoy.

I have been scouring FB marketplace recently, and let me just say, I find it so stressful. How do I know that I want that one thing at that exact moment? But if I wait, it’ll be gone.
It is just about peak fall where I live and the change of colors makes me smile involuntarily. I’ll be driving and can’t help the smile that takes over.
We just went to Japan and visited Tokyo Disney, which was my first time, and let me just say, it lives up to the hype. But the crowds be crowding.
I am deep into DWTS (Dancing With The Stars) this season, and I have my top three, and I can honestly say I am not sure who I hope to win.
I’ve been off my reading roll, and I kind of miss it. I was thinking of re-reading Anne of Green Gables. Should I start a book club?
I made these cookies the other day and they turned out so good! The perfect amount of pumpkin spice.
On the Japan topic, I got sick a month before we left, and it lasted the whole month. Diabolical if you ask me. Then, while we were there, my sister went ahead and broke her toe.
Most people who are close to me know I struggle with hormonal acne, and I just need to share that my top favorite clean brand is Primally Pure. I guarantee you have seen ads for it. But let me tell you, it is amazing.
I know that Gilmore Girls is the show of Fall, and where I agree, Friends is my Fall comfort show.
My oldest brother and his family moved close to me, and now I have all three of my nephews in one place. It is my favorite.
One thing I always buy at Trader Joe’s is their chile crackers. I like to eat them with goat cheese. Buy them, trust me.
I love movies and constantly consider starting another blog to critique them. Maybe become some great movie critic. But who has the time?
With these posts, I always expect them to be easy to write, but for some reason, they always take me forever.
One of my favorite fiction books is being turned into a movie starring Lily Reinhart, and I am very excited for it.
I feel very ready for the Christmas season this year. I want cozy, but don’t think I am skipping over Thanksgiving. Favorite holiday right there.
I keep a pile for the Goodwill behind my bed so I can add clothes to it whenever and allow them to sit so I can forget about them before I make the permanent decision to let them go.
Currently contemplating getting a gym membership. Working out is part of my routine, and I have worked out at gyms, but typically, I am an at-home queen. Madfit, Sarah’s Day, bodyweight, Pilates; don’t sleep on the at-home people! But a change of pace sounds nice.
I am working on writing this in bed and Gus (my cat) is asleep upstairs instead of on the end of my bed, which means he is sleeping on the job. My toes are cold.
There is something so whimsical about an Autumn walk. Crispy leaves decorate the path. Golden light illuminates the fiery reds and rich golds. The chill of the air holding your hand. Mmm, it’s so good.
Gus heard my thoughts… toes are being warmed as I type.
I don’t slick my hair back often because it can make me feel like an egg, but if I ever need to, the Dae styling cream works so well, but also Aloe gel. Hair gel freaks me out a bit, and maybe Aloe won’t save your hair from a tornado, but it keeps my crazy hair pretty contained.
You know what just hits every time… fall salads! There is just something about the warmth/freshness that comes with them. Balsamic, maybe some squash, goat cheese, maybe feta, pecans, perhaps apples, and even pomegranate seeds! Yes to it all.
There is a random stash of fidget things that I keep on my desk for when I am in meetings to keep my hands occupied. One being an outlet cover I took from my sister's house.
Back to Japan, they have amazing snacks! They have these really delicious biscuits with chocolate, and they were top-notch. And don’t get me started on their matcha soft serve.
Malls stress me out. I can’t stand them. There is only one mall that I enjoy walking around in, and that is the Park Meadows Mall in Colorado. It is all wood and they have fireplaces and cozy chairs. And when they decorate it for Christmas? Maximum cozy.

Thank You And Goodnight.
When I write these, I like to pretend that I am out for coffee with a friend and share with them the first things that might come to mind. I wouldn’t say that I am a private person, and frankly, I like that about myself. It is fun to share moments with people. Thoughts, fears, ideas, opinions, and so many other emotions. I think that thoughts and filters should always be carried around and added to conversations, but I love getting to share and celebrate my birthday with you.

I hope that
you have been having a wonderful week. I know it has been a few weeks between blog posts! I have missed you all. Life has been a bit crazy the last few months, but I am excited to get back to it. Enjoy the weekend! Don’t forget to follow on Instagram, let me know what you want to read more of, share The Allie-Way with someone, and don’t forget to subscribe. Thanks for reading, Allie-Cats!
